Debbie and Dick moved to Stone Creek on December 20, 2019.


Dick is a retired Physician, having done his Residency Training at the SIU School of Medicine, then Chief Residency before beginning in Private Practice in Springfield in 1978. (the same year they were married ) He left Private Practice and then joined the School of Medicine in 1991, and did a Fellowship at the Duke University Medical Center in Geriatrics in 1994, returned to SIU and set up the Division of Geriatrics within the Department of Medicine at the School. Dick retired as Full Professor in 2010, and has been a "house husband" until Debbie retired from nursing in June of 2019.


Debbie is a retired nurse who graduated in the final Nursing School class at Memorial Medical Center in 1975. For 45 years as a Registered Nurse, she worked in multiple positions at St. John's, Memorial and Doctors Hospital. Most recently she was a Staff and Charge Nurse on Adult Psychiatry at Memorial Medical Center. She was also a Certified Quality Assurance Professional in Health Care.


Debbie and Dick have 2 daughters, one who lives in St. Louis, and the other in Rochelle, Illinois. They have 2 grandchildren.
